About VIDIZMO

VIDIZMO is an AI software company headquartered in Tysons, Virginia. Our enterprise AI platform helps organizations search, analyze, redact and act on their video, audio, images, documents and text. More than 100 agencies and organizations use VIDIZMO, from police departments, prosecutors and federal, state and local government to hospitals, banks and law firms. Customers run it in their own cloud (Azure or AWS), on-premises, in government cloud (including FedRAMP High environments through our hosting partner) or fully air-gapped. We're ISO/IEC 27001 certified in our own name, and we support CJIS, HIPAA (with BAAs), PCI-DSS, GDPR and FERPA requirements.

  • AI Live Insight: real-time AI video analytics on cameras customers already own.

  • Enterprise Video Platform (EnterpriseTube): secure video hosting, live streaming, captions, transcription and search.

About the Role

As a Business Development Representative on our public-sector team, you'll reach police departments, sheriffs, prosecutors, city and county governments, state agencies and school districts across the US. You'll start the conversation, find out where they struggle with evidence, records requests or camera footage, and book meetings for our account executives.

What You'll Do

  • Research agencies and districts in your territory and identify records officers, investigators, command staff, clerks and IT leaders.
  • Make outbound calls and send short, relevant emails about problems these buyers face, such as FOIA backlogs or evidence sharing with prosecutors.
  • Follow up on contacts from conferences, webinars and partner referrals.
  • Qualify each opportunity and book meetings, including joint meetings with resellers when a partner is involved.
  • Note in HubSpot how each agency buys (direct, through a reseller or through a contract vehicle).
  • Log all activity in HubSpot the same day.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ year of cold calling, inside sales or business development in any industry, calling US prospects.
  • A track record of meeting call and meeting goals.
  • Fluent, clear spoken and written English. US buyers find you easy to understand on the phone.
  • Daily use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for research, writing and call prep, and hands-on use of a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho or similar).
  • Able to work 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time.

Strong Pluses

  • Experience selling software, SaaS or technology, especially AI, video, security, data or compliance products.
  • A technical background (Computer Science, Engineering, IT) or hands-on technical work.
  • Experience selling to any of our industries: US public safety and justice, government, healthcare, financial services, insurance, legal, education or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with the rules our buyers care about, such as CJIS, FOIA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, FERPA or chain of custody.
  • Experience calling government agencies, police departments or school districts.
